THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM C t J Bi C | L MEMORANDUM FEB 4 1980 TO: Mayor and Council January 30th, 1980 FROM: Public Works Committee Report from the Public Works Committee Meeting held January 29th, 1980, IN ATTENDANCE: Alderman E.W. Mabbett Alderman L.M. Traboulay F.E. Peters, #®. Eng., City Engineer G.W. Ulmer, Works & Utilities Superintendent for part of meeting. ZTEM I Re: Development Cost Charges for Sewage and Drainage The Engineer explained two reports of supplementary information for development cost charges in the industrial area involving sewage and drainage. Copies of these supple- mentary information reports have been distributed separately. Given the background that Council already has on development cost charges, these reports probably provide all the inform- ation that Council needs in order to make a decision. However, the Engineer will be prepared to explain further or answer any questions in the Council Meeting. The Committee recommends that the development cost charges for sewage and drainage be adopted as outlined and that Council proceed with the necessary by-laws. I believe that the Clerk will have appropriate by-laws prepared for this Council Meeting in the event that Council wishes to proceed with first three readings of the by-laws. Nore: See By-laws 1735 41736 ITEM IT attached, Re: Offsite Costs for Techram Development Techram, which is developing the property at Lougheed and Westwood, has estimated the offsite servicing costs for their project at $469,590.00. This is due mainly to a large cost for having to provide an adequate water supply to the area and a large cost for carrying the storm sewer to the Coquitlam River. It should be noted that both the water and storm sower costs can be split up between the developments on the north and the south side of the Lougheed Highway. [2uace
