Z Hockey jun iors settle in for season of play | : a Some area hockey players attended as many as three junior hockey team camps in Sep- tember, but all now ap- pear to be settled in for the season with Tier One clubs in the western league or Tier Two teams in the B.C. junior and Peace-Cariboo junior leagues. Terrace Review sour- ces say that four lads are donning the blades for. the Fort St. John Huskies of the Peace- Cariboo league. They are Tony Hildebrand of Ter- race, Brent Kuntz of . Prince Rupert and Adam Taylor and Blaine Moore — of Kitimat. For the B.C, junior league, Mario Desjardins and Trevor Hendry of Terrace are lined up with ‘the Richmond Sockeyes, . while another Terrace duo — Ian Alger and Troy Kaye — are on Ab- botsford’s roster, Ex- Terrace star Ben Biagon- ni will suit up for North Delta. Terry Zapodrzan of Terrace has returned to Calgary with the western league for another season. One of the net- minders Zaporzan will be snipping at is Mark Fitzpatrick of Kitimat. Fitzpatrick is back with the Medicine Hat Tigers. Another goalie — Wade Flaherty of Ter- . race — has joined Williams Lake of the Peace-Cariboo league. The Word on over-aged junior goalie Lance Carlsen of Terrace is that he’ll perform for Flint of the all-pro international league. The Terrace Review would like to keep tabs on these boys and others as the season progresses, and would appreciate hearing from friends and relatives picking up in- formation on how they’re making out. Golfers show appreciation In an effort to show appreciation for all the adult assistance over the season at the Skeena Valley Golf and Country Club, junior members presented pro-manager Dan Rosengren with a special sign during awards presentation at the junior-senior tournament. The sign, in the form of an arrow, is to be stmas. We've got C posted at the corner of Old Lakelse Road and Thornhill Drive, just across from the Thornhill Pub. It will replace the current sign which is not readily visible due to its small size. _ The new sign is about four times larger and was designed and painted by Rain Coast Signs. The new directional sign is not expected to be erected until sometime next spring.
