December 13th, 1976 No. 19, and advising that an appropriate resolution therefore will be prepared and placed on the Council agenda next week when third reading of the By-law is scheduled to be considered, The City Clerk ‘advised that the site of the proposed development is located just North of the Lougheed Highway and South of Westminster Avenue, and that the Developer thereof was in attendance this evening. The Planning Officer then referred to plans of the project that were on display, and advised that the site originally was 8 acres in size; however, one acre was given to the City for a tennis court facilities. The Planning Officer explained that the project will be constructed in kee et ee en See two different stages of 32 units each with a time separation of 8 months, and that the setback of all these buildings from the highway is at least Fiat oe cants earner, 100', with all the trees fronting on the highway being preserved as a natural buffer against the sight and sound of traffic thereon. The Planning Officer further advised that a swimming pool would be provided at on the site, as well as day care facilities, a meeting hall for the Strata Council, and a series of children's play areas. Mr. D. Kynoch, 1635 Angelo Avenue, inquired regarding access into the development, and the Planning Officer advised this would be provided from Imperial Avenue and St. Michael Street. Mr, Kynoch referred to the tN nen See a me enn first proposal for this development when the developer suggested he would pay for the ditching along Robertson to Angelo, and Alderman Laking advised that both those streets would be completely rebuilt, including the filling-in of the ditches. Mr. Kynoch pointed out that at the present time Angelo is a one-way street, and to his ‘query, Alderman Mr. Laking advised that Angelo would be opened to St. Michael Street. Kynoch observed that opening Angelo will increase the traffic flow on Robertson and Angelo, and Alderman Laking agreed; however, he pointed out that the traffic flow would be divided between those two streets; also, there will be an entrance from Imperial through a proposed subdivision immediately North of the Townhouse project. Mr, N.A, Libby, 1651 Angelo Avenue, inquired who would pay for the reconstruction and ditching work on Robertson and Angelo, and Alderman Laking advised that this cost would be borne by the Developer.
