City Engineer VEHICLE WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS - ROADS IN PORT COQUITLAM BEIT RESOLVED that the maximum combined gross weight of a vehicle and its load in respect of vehicles (other than vehicles with a registered gross vehicle weight of less than 3000 kilograms) driven, used or operated on the following highways in the City of Port Coquitlam shall not exceed 75% of the gross vehicle weight of that vehicle as stated on the vehicle’s registration form under the Motor Vehicle Act: Mary Hill Road, from Eastern Drive to Pitt River Road; Pitt River Road, from the Bailey Bridge to Shaughnessy Street; Coast Meridian Road, from Victoria Street to Apel Street; Dominion Avenue, fromm Lougheed Highway to Burns Road; Bums Read, from Dominion Avenue to Prairie Avenue, Prairie Avenue, from Burns Road to Rae Street. AND FURTHER that the City Engineer and City staff under his direction are authorized to place signs on those highways, notifying the public of the restrictions set out in this order. Due to the recent cold and wet weather, there are several roads in Port Coquitlam which have a weak base and consequently suffer road damage due to heavy vehicles. It is recommended that the maximum vehicle weight for portions of Mary Hill Road, Pitt River Road, Coast Meridian Road, Dominion Avenue, Burns Road, and Prairie Avenue as shown in the above list be restricted to 75% of thc gross vehicle weight. 1 O-TR.
