SUBJECT;

Recommendation:

1. That the area around the grandstand (please see attached
drawing) be paved.

26 That the cost of the paving not exceed $11,500,

That the money for this project be taken from the Parks &
Recreation Department capital budget.

Background. & Comments:

This year the Public Works Department will be paving Wellington
Street between Prairie and Coquitlam Avenue. The parking area
around the grandstand is badly broken up and in desperate need of
repair. It would be most Opportune to take advantage of the
paving crew to pave the Parking area at McLean Park, while doing
the reconstruction of Wellington Avenue.

As Council is aware, MeLean Park is our major park for tourna
ments and by paving the area and marking the parking spots, we
would enhance the number of cars that could park off the st_vets.
