Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution the City Planner
explained the amendment procedure. Mayor Laking asked regarding the
approval from the Liquor Control Board and the City Solicitor advised
the request to the Liquor Control Board would follow the Court approval.
and the City Solicitor stated he would ask that the Court Order be
subject to the Liquor Control Board approval of the amendment.

The Gity Clerk advised receipt of a request from the developer
for third reading of By-law No. 1773 which had been the subjecct of the
Zoning Public Henring held earlier at this meeting,

Discussion was then held and it was the peneral opinion of the
Couned] that third reading not be given at this time.

That third reading of By«law No. 1773 be poratponed until after a
report is reeeived frem the Public Works Committee regarding servicing
requirements.

The City Clerk advised receipt of a letter from the Canadian Olvmpile

Association, August 13th, 1980 regarding the 1980 Canadian Olympie Team.

Discovery Train at 11:30 a.m. on September 3rd, 1989 and invited everyone
to attend,

Alderman Wright commented regarding receipt of a requent from
residents of the 1500 Block Lincoln Avenue for a retaining wall along
Hyde Creek and asked that the Public Works Committee look into this,
