June 25th, 1979, A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on June 25th, 1979 at 7:30 p.m. Acting-Mayor M.R. Wright, Aldermen J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, E.W. Mabbett, P.F. Ranger, and L.M. Traboulay in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., City Planner L. Lee, Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, Deputy Fire Chief J.N. Boileau, Works and Utilities Superintendent G.W. Ulmer, and Mrs. D.L. Vyse. Acting-Mayor Wright welcomed the 12th Port Coquitlam Scout Troup to the Council meeting. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Council held on June llth, 1979 be taken as read and adopted. Carried. Alderman Keryluk asked that Item No. 9 on the Agenda, regarding the Trembath Area Concerned Citizens’ Committee be moved forward as some of the members who wished to speak had to leave early. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That Alderman J.J. Keryluk's, June 22nd, 1979 memorandum regarding the Trembath Area Concerned Citizens' Committee be now considered. Carried. From Alderman J.J. Keryluk, June 22nd, 1979 advising of the problems with bikers and 4-wheel-drive vehicles, carousing, etc. in the South Mary Hill area gravel pits and further advising that the Trembath Area Concerned Citizens Committee (TACCC) had been formed. The TACCC Chairman, Mr. Gerry Dlugos, then made a presentation to Council regarding the clearing of underbrush and some selective clearing of trees and asked Council to donate some evergreen trees to be planted on the periphery of the area.
