To combat the burglary problem, during the month of December a special eicght-man squad was formed to deal with thefts from underground parking lots and B. & i's, Their efforts were successful in that several persons were charged with these thefts and at least eleven persons were charged with breaking and entering offences. There were two offences which took place in the Port Coquitlam area involving robberies wherein violence was used.
