The possibilities of being able to cut costs and reproduce entire feature pages are made. possible by the new offset printing process the P.T. is now on, and which the Canadian Tribune will be going over to in the near future, The new 12-page paper will include eight pages of national features from the Canadian Tribune which will be airmailed to the P.T, The other four pages will be writtenand made up in Vancouver, carrying features, stories and news of concern and interest to the labor and progressive movement in B.C. Included in the national eight pages will, we expect, be feature articles from B.C. of nation-wide interest. Under this arrangement the PT will, in effect, become the West Coast edition of the Canadian Tribune, Through this arrangement the PT will be able to bring its budget into line with today’s costs, and at the same time enable us to bring to our readers-the results of the work of the combined staffs of the PT and Canadian Tribune. Under this arrangement — which marks a new experience in Canadian working class journalism — we hope to produce a livelier, more readable and more extensive paper, able to serve more fully the growing needs of the labor movement in B.C. . Included among the changes which will be introduced in the 12 page Paper will be a new PT masthead which will be the same size as the Canadian Tribune’s masthead. This will make possible the re-' production of a front page feature in the PT whenever events call it. In designing the new masthead the editorial board has retained the distinctive B.C. features used in PT mastheads over the years, The best way our readers can mark the introduction of the new 12-page paper is to ensure a growing circulation, starting with the present subscription campaign.
