Alderman Keryluk suggested that a Committee meeting be held in order that members of Council can discuss areas of concern; however, Alderman Thompson stated he felt any changes could be considered after the tenders are received. Alderman Mabbett pointed out that the alternatives could be stated in the tenders. From the Leisure Activities Committee, June 27th, 1975, submitting Leisure Act. Comm.~ice the ice schedule for the 1975/76 season and setting forth the total schedule-75/ 76 season hours allotted for each organization. Alderman Traboulay stated his concern that although there are now two sheets of ice, the morning schedule for minor hockey still commences at 5:30 a.m., and he commented that because of the same time schedule last year, many young boys were falling asleep in school; however, Alderman Mabbett pointed out that the coaches, who are all volunteers, have to start at this time ir order that they can leave for work by 8:00 a.m. Moved by Aldernian Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Thompson: That the ice schedule for the 1975/76 season as submitted with a report from the Leisure Activities Committee, June 27th, 1975, be approved. Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Ranger suggested that rather than starting boys playing hockey at such an early age, they should have skating lessons instead, thus solving the problem of attending hockey sessions so early in the morning. Alderman Traboulay inquired whether there would be skating lessons for adults during the coming season, and the Recreation Director advised there definitely would be. From the City Administrator, June 27th, 1975, advising that the City Adm.re Annual P/Wks Annual Public Works Association Conference will be held in Dawson Creek, Assn.Confer- September 17-19, 1975, and that the City Engineer has requested that Mr. mace D.N. Lockwood, Assistant City Engineer, be permitted to attend. The City Administrator, in his report, further advised that Mr. Lockwood has been asked to participate in one of the Conference sessions dealing with impost fees.
