After expenses, most of the money donated went to the late goal-tender‘’s young daughter Samantha. for her future education. As for the tournament, it was won by the Orangemen. The Orangemen and Chiefs both topped their five-team round- robin divisions. The final featured excellent early season hockey with the Orangemen edging out a 5-4 win on a goal by Trevor. Hendry with two minutes left. All 10 teams advanced to a play- off, Unfortunately, the fifth-place division finishers (All Seasons and Silver Bullets) failed to show up for their Sunday morning windup, resulting in a double default. In the fourth-place battle, Norm‘s Auto took out Skeena Hotel 11-2. For third-place hon- ours it was Wee Geordies of Kiti- mat downing Fraser Lake 5-3. - Smithers outscored Stewart 5-3 to capture second-place medals. They downed the Chiefs 5-4 in the final game. Chiefs — Mike LeBlonde. Todd Gieselman’s mother, Edith, presented all the awards and thanked everyone involved for the effort. Rod and Gun Clu Debbie Carruthers is the 1991 Skeena Valley Ladies’ Golf Club champion. She won the title in the 36-hole club championship tournament on Sept. 14 weekend. The overall low net crown went to Leona Wilcox on a countback. Low gross for the championship flight went to Liana Long with Gail Johnson as runnerup. Lynn Cooper placed third. For low net it was Linda Hamilton first, Linda Carruthers top lady golfer Juba second, and Helen Williams third. In the first flight, Sandy Smith - won low gross followed by Judy Lioyd-Jones and Sharon Brewer- ton. hosts annual shoot They held the 11th annual P:L:T.A. trap shoot at the Terrace Rod and Gun Club on Sept. 14 weekend, and although attendance was down slightly from last year, chairman Vic Dean said competition was close and the weatherman cooperated. Shooters from the Pacific Northwest won the lion’s share of trophies and prize money at this shoot.
