Development Variance Permit

RECOMMENDATION: That City Council direct the Clerk's
Office to prepare a bylaw amending the
Development Permit Procedure bylaw 1894,
to increase the permit fees to $250.00.

ANO THAT City Councii adopt the procedure
for processing permit applications as
outlined on the report.

COMMENTS:

This report is submitted to initiate the direction adopted by
City Council for processing Development Variance Permits.

The direction adopted by Council is to inform neighbours
about the proposed Issuance of development permits. To
imptement this policy direction it is proposed to mail
notification to property owners within a 40 metre radius.
The notice would .inform owners of the request and provide
them with the opportunity to attend a public hearing to
express their opinion about the merits of the apptication.

Processing of applications will continue to follow the
current procedure, but will have an additional step added to
the end. The ‘procedure is as follows;
