Thank you for your letter of 31 May.

There will be a meeting next week between
the Executive Directors of Hydro and members of the
Planning Committee of the Greater Vancouver Regional
District to discuss outstanding issues regarding
overhead transmission lines in the region and to
discuss methods of tackling the problem of future
lines so as to avoid the kind of public argument
which has arisen over the Arnott-Kidd transmission

line.

I expect your Council will be made aware

of the outcome of discussions through its
representative on the Board of the Regional District.
