That the City spend approximateiy $4,000 out of the Gravel Road
Maintenance Budget for dust control in 1983 using a liquid road
stabilizing agent such as calcium lignosu!lphonate and that the
following roads be done on a trial basis in 1983:

Shaughnessy Street south of Marshal! Avenue
Stafford Avenue east of Shaughnessy Street
Grunt Avenue shoulders adjacent to McLean Park

SUBJECT TO checking on environmental and safety considerations.

Alderman Keryluk voted against the resolution.

Prior to the question being called Alderman Keryluk suggested
referral back to the Public Works Committee for further study and
report to Council.

That the City Engineer's May 12th, 1983 recommendations regarding
the Dust Control Program for Gravel Roads and Shoulders, be referred
back to the Public Works Committee for further study and report back to
Council.

Alderman Gates stated in his opinion the Kingway Avenue shoutders
west of the Kingsway Bridge should be included in the Program.

That the Kingsway Avenue shoulders west. of the Kingsway Bridge be
included in the Dust Control Program for Grave! Roads and Shoulders.

included tor construction in 1983 out of the $80,000 of unallocated
Public. Works Capital Funds available as a resuit of the variable mill
rate option.

Funds for construction of a sidewalk on the east side of Ape! Drive
‘from Toronto Street.to Lynwood Avenue. :
