youths it believes are in-
volved in at least one of
the bomb threats.

I recently attended a
behaviour workshop. and
learned that in the state of
Texas, authorities look at
grade 3 reading failure
rales to help ‘predict the
number of prisons that will
be needed in the future.

We are students of Ca-
ledonia and sick of the
bomb threats. It gets very
annoying having to go to
school and five minutes
later being sent home.

But that is not our only
concern. The fact that we
are being told to go back
to school a-couple of hours
after our lives have. been
threatened is nerve rack-
ing. a

Are we nol wrong when
we think there is supposed
to be a 24-hour waiting
period after a bomb threat,
or at least more than two
hours? Why should hun-
dreds of lives be put at
stake. Should we trust the
people calling the threats,
thal the time they say the
bomb will go off is the
right time.

This may be the game

could apologize. and tell
their story to their peers:
what is was like to be ar-

in-jail, -goingto- court, fa-
mily issues,.elc, - a more
appropriate ‘consequence.
~ This: in just’ one idea,
I?m sure there are many
more out there. Our educa-
tion “system should be
using “education” to moti-
vate and rehabilitate, not
to withdraw it as a means
of punishment.
