. HE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM 2. The bus zone on the southwest corner of Shaughnessy and McAllister be extended a further 25 feet on the same trial basis as 1. above. . It is the understanding of the undersigned and those present at the meeting that these trial extensions were granted on the basis that once the new transit changes are implemented, all storage, parking and extended waiting of buses at bus stops, especially the several steps at Shaughnessy and McAllister, would be eliminated. At no time would a bus be stopped at any one bus stop for longer than two minutes. Regarding on-street improvements and traffic control refinements, it was agreed that: . 1. The City of Port Coquitlam has finalized its budget for 1978 and this budget does not include traffic signals at the Wilson and Shaughnessy intersection. However, the City will leave this item as a high priority for future budget considerations. 2. Traffic signals would not be constructed in 1978 at the intersection of Wilsoneand Mary Hill Road for the same reason as 1. above. 3. Curb return adjustments will be made by the City of Port Coquitlam at the northwest corner of Wilson and Kingsway, at the northeast corner of Wilson and Mary Hill, at the northwest corner of Wilson and Mary Hill, and at the southwest corner of Mary Hill and McAllister, if engineering design shows that these improvements can be done within the confines of the 1978 budget. Regarding reconstruction of certain streets to arterial standards, it was agreed that: 1. The 1978 budget did not allow for any reconstruction of Wilson from Mary Hill to Shaughnessy. However, the City will leave this item as a high priority for future budget consideration. 2. The City will undertake within the 1978 budget year the reconstruction of Kingsway from Tyner southeast to the easterly property line of the new Port Coquitlam Transit Center.
