January 19th, 1976 The Committee advises the foilowing: 1. A smali diameter water service could be made available from the south end of Bedford -Street, however a large diameter connection (to provide process water or fire flows) would jeopardize service to existing water users in this area of the City. oy 2. A sanitary sewer main and connection could be provided by installation of a sewage pumping station on site and an approximately 800' long force main (from the City boundary to the connection at the sewer main). 3. Access could be previded from Bedford Street subject to substantial upgrading of same. Ma A Carried. Speaking to the subject, Alderman Thompson indicated that considerable cost would be involved and, additionally, there would be a depletion of services to the surrounding area. Alderman Laking felt that a decision should be withheld at this time as the area was considered a priority green belt area by the G.V.R.D. and Alderman Thompson suggested that until a decision had been made regarding the Regional Town Centre location any further development in this area would be considered unwise. ‘Planning & From the Planning and Zoning Committee, January 15th, 1976 respecting (Zoning Comm re irezoning app. rezoning application R#1/76 advising that Mr. Spani of Meridian Developments 'RHL-76 (Cedar iDr.~Meridian Ltd. had been informed that prior to any further steps being taken by ev? the Land Use Committee on his application, a public information meeting with the Cedar Drive residents is needed in order that the nature and effects of the proposed development can te discussed with the affected residents. The City Clerk further advised that this meeting had been scheduled for Thursday, January 29th, 1976, at Lincoln Elementary School, and that notices would be sent to all registered owners and occupants of the area designated on the map on the reverse side of the Draft Notice produced by Alderman Laking.
