November 26th, 1984 /165

A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of
the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Counci| Chamber, Port
Coquitiam City Hall on Monday, November 26th, 1984 at 7:30 pm.

His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.C. Farnworth, M.D.
Gates, J.J. Keryiuk, G.R. Laking, W.W. Stewart and M.R. Wright in
attendance,

Also In attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk
R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., and Director of
Community Planning W. Brown.

Seconded by Alderman Laking:

That the minutes of the Regular Council! Meeting held on November
19th, 1984 be taken as read and adopted. 7

DELEGATIONS:

His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Mr. A. Grist, Port

Coquittam & District Hunting & Fishing Club who then made a
presentation to Counci! regarding the Greater Vancouver Water
District's current position on their proposed Hixon and Or Creek
diversions. Mr. Bitl Otway, Port Coquitlam & District Hunting &
Fishing Club, also made a presentation to the Councll.

Moved by Alderman Farnworth:
Seconded by Alderman Laking:

That the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port
Coquitlam reaffirm Its opposition to the proposal of the Greater
Vancouver Water District's concerning the diversion of Or Creek and
Hixon Creek;

AND THAT the Greater Vancouver Water District be urged to obtain
any additional water required from B.C. Hydro's water licence.
