LIBRARY Be New Books In Our Collection Ceramic Science for the Potter (Lawrence) revised. This is a text-book for the ceramic artist who wants a more detailed scientific knowledge of his craft than is available in most "how to" books. Tile Decorating with Gemma. This describes an elementary slip trailing approach to decorating mainly commercially manufactured tiles. It could give ideas for hobby classes, teaching children, or “jazzing up” a bathroom. Coiled Pottery, by Betty Blandino, "looks at historical axamples of coiled pottery and describes the methods of contemporary and ethnic potters who build in this way." An interesting text and many photographs remind us of the sophistication and beauty that can be achieved with this technique. a
