Re: Fencing at 1240 Pitt River Road

AS per your memorandum, Project No. 578, I have investigated the report from Mr. Noort
residing at 1240 Pitt River Road. Mr. Noort is requesting the City to make the repairs to
a fence damaged in a car accident and install approximately 90 feet of chain link fence
along the frontage of his property to protect his home from vehicles travelling southbound
on Pitt River Road. Mr. Noort claims he has witnessed several car accidents resulting
from a curve on Pitt River Road slightly north of his property. These cars failed to
negotiate the curve and crash into his front yard.

Please review the following recommendations I have listed for your approval and
presentation to the Public Works Committee:

i. Advise Mr. Noort that the damaged fence resulting from the car accident
should be repaired through an ICBC claim. Mr. Noort should make the inquiries
through ICBC.

The City install several posts mounted with reflectors to delinate the curve along
the frontage of Pitt River Road along Mr. Noort's property, preceeding the curve.
