BENEFITS OF INCREASED STAFF

Hanning - A increase of 6 Fire Fighters will bring the
Shift strength to 13 men. This will allow the Rescue

Unit to respond at all times.

Reduced suppression Costs - Future overtime costs will be

minimal. By allowing a 3rd man off one can:

1) eliminate the packlog of vacations.

2) eliminate the backlog of statutory holidays.
3) eliminate the backlog of ist aid days.

4) eliminate the backlog of banked overtine.

5) eliminate the backlog of long service leave.

Fire Prevention ~ The Fire Inspections will be
brought up to acceptable standards. We will be able to
handle night inspections and evening lectures without
overtime costs. Our Fire Losses will be reduced by the
inspection increases, both frequency, and types of

inspections.

Tncereased Fir

Sprinkler By-Law ~ The movement of additional manpower
santo the Prevention Branch will allow Chief Madden the

opportunity to resezcrch this area. Sprink-.er By-Laws if
in place, wiil further reduce our need for additional

fire halls and manning.
