Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That as requested by the Port Coquitlam Minor Hockey Association, January 19th, 1978 permission be granted to seil iightbulbs door to door and on the street on January 27, 28 and 29, 1978 to raise money for Minor Hockey requirements. Carried. Alderman Keryluk voted against the resolution. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution discussion ensued on the possible recent change in Port Coquitlam Amateur Athletic Association by-laws that now allow minor sports to conduct independent campaigns for financial support.
