OUNCIL

WHEREAS by Section 869 of the "Municipal Act" being Chapter
. 255, R.S.B.C. 1960 as amended, the Council may, by By-law
provide for the regulation of the time or times during each
day during which children shall not be on the streets with-
out proper guardianship, and the age, or apparent age of
boys and girls respectively under which they shall be re-

quired to be in their homes at the hour appointed;

AND WHEREAS to preserve and promote ‘the peace, order and
good government of the Municipality, the health, safety and
morality and welfare of the inhabitants of the Municipality,
and for the care and protection of children it ‘is deemed |

expedient to provide such regulation.

THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the

City of Port Coquitlam in open meeting assembled, ENACTS AS_

FOLLOWS: ,
1. | Every boy and every girl of the apparent age ‘of fifteen.
(15) years or less shall not be on the public streets
‘during those times of each and every day of the year
extending from 11:00 o'clock in: the evening of one day
until 6:00 o'clock in the morning of the next suc-:
ceeding day and every such child shall be in its home
at the hour of 11:00 o'clock in the evening of every
day and shall not be upon the public streets between
the hours of 11:00 o'clock in the evening of that day

until 6:00 o'clock in the morning of the next succeeding

day except under proper control or guardianship or for
