September 23, 1991/219 A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of The City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Halli, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, September 23rd, 1991, at 7:30 pom. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay and Aldermen M.D. Gates, M.J. Gordon, J.J. Keryluk, R.H. Talbot, and M.A. Thompson were in attendance. . Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, Acting City Clerk S. Rauh, City Engineer I.R. Zahynacz, Director of Planning C.R. Felip, and Director of Building J. Shardlow. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Gordon: That the minutes of the Regular Council meeting held on September 09th, 1991 be taken as read and adopted. Carried. PROCLAMATION: United Way of the Lower Mainland is now campaigning to provide care and help te our citizens; WHEREAS: Over 100 agencies and services and Red Cross depend on our dcaations through United Way of the Lower Mainland to.maintain their vital services; . WHEREAS: Each year, more than 500,000 Lower Mainland citizens are helped by United Way~funded services; _— AND WHEREAS: Thousands of families, seniors and young people in this . municipality benefit through these services, NOW THEREFORE I, Leonard M. Traboulay, Mayor of the Corporation of The City of . Port Coquitlam DO HEREBY PROCLAIM the week of September 23 to September 30, 1991 as -_ “UNETED WAY WEEK" and hereby urge all businesses and residents to provide’ their fullest possible support to United Way of the Lower Mainland, so that those in need of special help can receive it, to the benefit of us all. _ |
