RECOMMENDATION:

That City Council re-examine or consider not allowing spring & fall burning
for garden refuse and tree trimmings in residential zoned property as has
beem allowed in the past.

BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:

Attached is a report from the G.V.R.D. Water & Waste Management Committee
dated May 14, 1987.

After reading the report and evaluating the numerous complaints we receive and
investigate each burning season, I am asking Council to consider not allowing
the usual month in the spring and the month in the fall for burning garden and
tree trimmings in residential zoned property.
