arrival of the francophones in Maillardville in 1909. We will gather at 9:30 a.m. at Heritage
Square, 1120 Brunette Ave., Corner of Marmont St. and parade to Our Lady of Lourdes Church

THE SISTERS OF CHARITY OF HALIFAX: are celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the Halifax Found-
ation, which marks the beginning of the Sisters' ministry among the Canadian people. The
Sisters in the Vancouver area will honour this occasion with a Celebration of Prayer and
Remembering on September 26th at 3:00p.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help School. All parish-
ioners, especially friends and former students of the sisters are cordially invited to attend.

OUTREACH FOR SENIORS: All members are invited to a meeting in the Church Hall on Monday,
September 27th at 7:00 P.M. New members are welcomed.

OUTREACH FOR SENIORS: october lst,1999 has been designated the "International Day for Older
Persons" by teh United Nations Assembly. Being the lst Friday of the month, we will have
special intentions for all the Seniors of our parish 65 years or older, but especially those
88,39 & 90 years old at the 7:00 P.M. Mass and Holy Hour with a reception to follow in the
Church Hall at 8:00 P.M. A perfect day to give thanks to the Lord for the contributions of
the senior members of our parish. You are all invited with your families. Please contact
Henriette Sevigny 936-1006 or Claudia Lemay 939-5779 to say who is coming and how many. We
are waiting for your calls, we want to salute all of our seniors. Thanks.

pour les Ainés et nous voulons honorer nos paroissiens principalement ceux qui ont 88, 89,

90 ans et plus. Tous les aines de 65 ans et plus sont cordiallement invités avec leur famille,
a participer a la messe du premier vendredi du mois et de 1'Heure Sainte a 19h00 et reception
