DISCUSSION:

The proposed rezoning will permit the construction of a facility, the Port
Coquitlam Provincial Courthouse, that has been long awaited by the community.
The design of the proposed building is of very high quality and the building
will be appropriately located to play an important role in the configuration
of the urban space within the Downtown Area.

Subject to the conditions noted above, it is recommended that this
application be approved.
