1980/81 Ice Schedule

The Parks & Recreation Committee have met with the user
&roups and have agreed upon a schedule for the 1980/81
ice season. Attached is a breakdown of the hours of
usage and, as you can see, the Recreation Department
have picked Up some additional time on Sunday afternoon
dn order that we can extend our extremely crowded family
skate,

Recommendation

That the attached 1980/81 schedule be ratified,

Fraser Valley Zone Championships

The Port Coquitlam Figure Skating Club have been asked to
host the Fraser Valley Zone Championships for the second
time. They hosted these championships in 1978, This year
the dates are set for November 2lat, 22nd and 23rd.) The
Club will require both arenas and the Mabbett Room and
Young Room for the hours of 8:00 Pom. to 10:00 p.m. in the
evening. The Club has asked that charges be waived for
this championship. Waiving of charges for championships
such as this has been done in the Past by Council, and waa
done for the 1978 Zone Championships,

Recommendation

That the Port Coquitlam Figure Skating Club be permitted
to host the Fraser Valley Zone Championships November 2lse
to 23rd, 1980, and that charges bo waived for the ice and
room usage,
