Participating artists have responded to the possibilities of the “artist multiple” within a contemporary ceramic practice, navigating between the realms of art, craft and design. With all displayed work available for purchase this is a fantastic opportunity to acquire some creative, thoughtful, and elegant work from both up-coming and established makers. ‘The sale runs daily, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the atrium of Emily Carr’s South Building with a closing party on March 8 at 7:30 p.m. Open to the public, this party is an event not to miss with food, refreshments, music and gifts for all in attendance! A portion of proceeds from the sale will help send the Emily Carr Ceramics Department to this years’ NCECA, as well as fund public artist talks by contemporary ceramists. A group show open to all PGBG members, to be hosted by the Gallery of BC Ceramics. The exhibition will showcase vessels and sculptures specifically for use in the garden. We're looking for planters, sculptures, rocks, bird baths, bird houses, bird feeders, lanterns, fountains, frogs, snails—anything that can be used in a garden setting. All work must be for sale.
