April 2nd, 1979. From the City Planner, March 22nd, 1979 referring to a report of the Planning and Zoning Committee regarding rezoning application, R#12-~ 78, under date of October 23rd, 1978, which was brought to Council, recommending a one-storey commercial project at 2612/2640 Mary Hill Road proceed to Public Hearing subject to first resolving the question of property exchange and cancellation of Elgin Street east of Mary Hiil Road. Upon further investigation it was found that a road exchange would be the required solution and the developer has expressed acceptance of the road exchange. The necessary by-law could now be prepared by the City Clerk's office and the rezoning application could then proceed to Public Hearing. The City Planner recommends that CD (Comprehensive Development) zoning be used whereby the development plans approved by Council can become a part of the rezoning by-law thus assuring that the development will proceed according to the terms approved by Council. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: That as recommended by the City Planner, March 22nd, 1979 rezoning application, R#12-78, be incorporated with CD (Comprehensive Development) zoning whereby the development plans would become part of the rezoning by-law; AND THAT it now proceed to Public Hearing. Carried. Alderman Keryluk voted against the resolution.
