Eng., FILE: 1100.2 City Engineer FENCING FOR BICYCLE PATH BETWEEN NOVA SCOTIA AVENUE AND CITADEL DRIVE (Public Works Commitice Meeting of October 25, 1994) ONS That Council approve the installation of approximately 110 metres of chain link fence along the northside of the existing foot path between Nova Scotia Avenue and Citadel Drive at an estimated cost of $3,372.70. That Council allocate $3,372.70 from the Special Public Works Reserve for this purpose. An asphalt and concrete step foot path has been constructed in the pedestrian right of way hetween Nova Scotia Avenue and Citadel Drive to provide access to the new Citadel Middi- School as shown on the attached Plan 1. There is a private lot north of the foot path and there is no fence along the northern boundary of the foot path. Cyclists are travelling off the foot path through the private property north of the foot path and then back onto the foot path in order to avoid the concrete steps. In order to avoid damage to private property and to prevent gravel and mud from being thrown onto the walkway from bicycles, it is recommended that approximately 110 metres of chain link fence be constructed along the northem side of the Citadel foot path at a cost of $3,372.70.
