V3C 2E8 Dear Sirs: Burnaby Council, at its meeting of 1992 September 14 considered and adopted the following resalution in response to the sale and distribution of a game entitled "Serial Killer Board Game ~- First Bdition": WHAT WHEREAS there has been created and offered for sale a 'Serial Killer Board Gane ~ First Mdition' and: WHEREAS the distribution and sale of such a ‘gare! ig not in the public interest and; WHEREAS the Municipality has no authority to prevent the distribution and sale of this 'game' WHEREAS federal, authorities appear unable at this time to prevent the distribution and sale of this 'gane' despite requests to do so; | THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT His Worship, Mayor W. J. Copeland request the Provincial Government to use its authority to step the distribution and sale of this 'game' and; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the Union of B.C. Muniedpalities be requested to consider this as an emergency resolution at its 1992 convention and; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT all other British Columbia municipalities be asked to support this request and; : coseeala PAGE, |
