Moved by Alderman: Muldoon: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That the City of Port Coquitlam ask the Provincial Government’ to allow homeowners to be able to sign binding legal documents to release Governments from the responsibility of flooding in lieu of the requirement for floodproofing precautions during the construction of houses in the agricultural area, Defeated. Alderman Mabbett expressed concern regarding the crosswalk lighting on Shaughnessy Street at Lions Park and stated in his opinion there should. be a pedestrian Signal at the intersection. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Muldoon: That the Public Works Committee consider installing a pedestrian actuated traffic signal at the intersection of Shaughnessy Street and Lions Park Way. : Carried. “Ald. Gates Alderman Gates referred to the new crossing of the Cedar Drive ire New Crossing “~ Cedar Dr, ‘Ditch. ‘(Bus Route) ditch and suggested that the bus route be changed. Moved by Alderman Gates: Seconded by Alderman Muldoon: That the Public Works Committee be requested to meet with the appropriate transit authorities to discuss use of the new roadway provided by the new Cedar Ditch culvert for a revised bus route.
