And now Alois Schillinger wants back the pension money he’s spent. “I am willing to donate my labour over the years. But I spent my pension money and J want it back,” says Schillinger, 75. In the last decade alone, Schillinger. estimates he’s spent $26,000 of his own money in testing out ways to. replace fish habitat damaged by man. It’s a journey that’s taken him to several places in BC. and in contact and con- flict with a variety of government agencies, “The'- government has spent millions and millions on .tesearch and = on laboratories,” adds Schil- linger.
