Taylor: Re: Citadel Heleheta ~ Central Park Site As you may recall, a large portion of tha central area of our Mary Hill land wes designated as a park site due. in part, te aoid congiderations. ‘The area wae one of the disposal gitez ased during che gravel mining operations and as 4 result, would have required remedial tremementr prios ta preceeding with house congtruction. You may alao recall, that cone of our major concerns with respect to the park facilities suggested for this aite by the City was the queation of soil atabiliiry. We recently engaged cur soils consultants to conduct en investigation im the area dasignatad as Citadel Heights Phase 8 In addition, we auked that they examine the central park site, and advise us with respect to the structural competence of the soile for construction of facilities such as the parking lor, tennia courts and washroomz. The attached sections of the report deal specifically with the park site. You will noce that, provided the City is willing to accepe acne ongoing maintenance, it is suggested that a design could be developed for the parking lot and washroom facilitias which would seduce the effects of the anticipated settlements. Hewever, since even minor settlements on a tenmmis court could result in ponding or potential disruptions to the game, it may be worth considering a relocation of this facility, or modifying the faciiizies proposed for shis site. ~ . ew awcsed
