July 9th, 1979. Prior to passage of the. foregoing resolution the City Planner explained the proposed development advising it was to be undertaken by Humford Developments Ltd. which developed the Prairie Mall and the Shopping Centre at Coast Meridian and Salisbury. Alderman Traboulay advised that when the proposed development was discussed recently in Committee Humford Developments Ltd. was asked to conduct a survey of the local residents regarding their feelings towards the proposed development. Mr. Keith Stewart, representing the develiper, was present and spoke to Council advising that with one or two exceptions the residents did not express any complaints against the prozvosed development when canvassed. From the Planning and Zoning Conmittee, July 3rd, 1979 advising that the preceding rezoning appiication, R#13-79, to rezone Lots 61 and 62, Northwest 4%, ‘Section 6, Township 40, Plan 31851, New Westminster District, and Lots 198 and 199, Northwest %, Section 6, Township 40, Plan 56242, New Westminster District, addressed as 1431 - 1455 Prairie Road, from RS-1 to C-2, is outside the established boundary of the North Side Commercial Centre and consequently modification to Council's established policy is necessary.
