The ‘tank will feature local celebrities: Bob Marcellin (regional district administrator), Art: Hoving (Thornhill Fire De- partment Fire Chief), Ken Earl (Royal Bank manager), Peggy Julseth (Thorahill director of regional district), Rich McDaniel * (City of, Terrace councillor) and Paul Warbeck (local doctor). This will add to last year’s fun . with’ camival games, face paint- ing, clowns and a puppet show all under the city’s big top tent, There will also be adult shoe “sled aces, relays and of course a twenty-person manual truck pull, abig hit last year. “New events this year will be ~ -some mother-daughter, father-son and’ adult-child events such watermelon sced spitting, nail hammering and pie eating contes- Gates at the Thornhill “Fair grounds open for the August 20 event.at-11;00 am and wraps up with a fun talent show from 7:00- 9:30 p.m. featuring comedy for all ages. ‘McElhanney | Again this year the day is being sponsored in part by local businesses and hosted. by the Thomhill Community Church. ‘We had a great response from ihe community last year and ex- pect it to be a super day.
