By this decision Barron has been declared the victor in litigation which has’ extended over about two years. J, §. Barron, the plaintiff, was formerly a jeweler in Dawson, where he was known as ‘the baron.” In 1912 condi- tions inthe northern eity were not good and Barron decided to migrate, He bought some lots in New Hazelton. Action wag later brought by him to set aside the agreements for sale on the grounds that he had heen deceived by the misrep- resentations made to him at the time he purchased. the property. The defendants counter-claimed | for the balance due on the agree- ments. Mr, Justice Clement tried the case on Sept. 12, 1916, and dismissed the action and ‘gave judgment for the counter- claim.
