May ist, 1978. Deputy Fire Chief Jim Boileau made a presentation to Council on the number of fire fighters required to operate the two Port Coquitlam Fire Halls. Discussion then ensued on the need for two additional fire fighters. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: That the employment of two additional Fire Fighters commencing July 1st, 1978 be approved and that the Ambulance Revenue section of the Budget be adjusted accordingly. Carried. Mayor Campbell, Aldermen Ranger and Thompson voted against the resolution. Alderman Keryluk asked that Council now consider the Annual Tax and Budget By-laws as amended. Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the Annual Tax and Budget By-laws as amended, be considered at this meeting. Carried. Alderman Ranger voted against the resolution.
