Rentals'Plans made under the Plans Cancellation Act by Riteway Equipment Rentals ' Cancellation Act : Petition (1973) Ltd. to have the road allowances lying to the Fast and North of its property added thereto, and pointing out that if the application is granted, the City's rights to construct public roads thereon would be taken away. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That the City Solicitor be instructed to oppose the petition under the Plans Cancellation Act made by Riteway Equipment Rentals (1973) Ltd. relating to the Remainder Lot 7, Plan 860, New Westminster District and dated May 18, 1977, as the City requires these road allowances for future road access and that the City Engineer be instructed to be available to act as a witness if necessary as may be required by the Solicitor. ; Carried. City Clerk re From the Ciry Clerk, May 26th, 1977, advising of the wish of the Dist.Coq.-alteration of road District of Coquitlam to alter the present road pattern of Oxford Street patterns-Oxford St. and Mason and Mason Avenue which form part of the boundary roads between that 7 Aves Municipality and the City, thus necessitating the consent of the latter even though all aspects of the proposal are located within the boundaries of the former, and submitting By-law No. 1545, Prepared in respect thereto, for initial consideration. Alderman Traboulay introduced a By-law regarding part of Oxford Street and Mason Avenue forming a boundary between the City of Port Coquitlam and the District of Coquitlan. Prior to consideration of the above-stated resolution, a discussion ensued and the Planning Officer explained that the Proposed road pattern would provide access into the Oxbow mobile home park being developed in the District of Coquitlam. Alderman Ranger stated he objected to accomm- odating the some 600 unit mobile home park as proposed and suggested the developer could Provide access to the property via a new bridge across the Coquitlam River. Alderman Ranger also Pointed out that under the present Assessment Act, the value of a mobile home depreciates to 70% of its value after seven years, and as it will eventually contribute nothing for school taxes, he stated he was Opposed to such a development being
