From the Land Sales Committee, May 12th, 1977, advising of a request ire sale-City lane :allowance- received from the owner of land at 3032 Oxford Street to purchase a iadjacent to ; 3032 Oxford St. gmail piece of City lane allowance on the East side of Oxford Street ? North of Coquitlam Avenue, and stating that as it is felt this piece of | lane will never be used for any City purpose and providing the Consents } of adjacent owners can be obtained, it could be abandonded and sold to the applicant. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: That as recommended in a report from the Land Sales Committee, May 12th, 1977, the necessary consents be obtained from adjacent owners to abandon the lane allowance on the East side of Oxford Street North of Coquitlam Avenue, and that it be offered for sale to the owner of 3032 Oxford Street at the rate of $1.50 per square foot, for a total sale price of $2,896.00. From the Community Development Committee, May 12th, 1977, advising jre PC Ind.Ass'n. | 6 proposed that, the Committee had met with the newly-formed "Port Coquitlam Industrial MI By-pass,etc. . Association" on Wednesday, May 4th, 1977, and at that time the Association had stressed to the Committee the need for action on the construction of the Mary Hill By-pass, due to the difficulties being encountered in shipping via the present restricted access routes. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That as recommended in a report from the Community Development Committee, May 12th, 1977, the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam hereby again endorses the construction of the Mary Hill By-pass route though the City of Port Coquitlam to service local industrial and other interests, as requested by the Port Coquitlam Industrial Association. Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Messrs. Ewen Morrison and George Shaw, representing the Association, spoke in support of the requested construction of the Mary Hill By-pass route, and mentioned that the other Municipal Councils from Coquitlam to Mission had expressed approval of the project.
