Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, a discussion ensued and Alderman Keryluk said he did not find the increased subsidy difficult to support, and Alderman Traboulay stated he felt the increase in rates would restrict the number participating. Alderman Ranger stated he felt the proposal was reasonable; however, Alderman Keryluk suggested that there be atractive charges for admission to the new indoor swimming pool presently under construction in order to attract more of the public to get involved. City Eng.-R/W- From the City Engineer, April 18th, 1975, advising that arrangements 2346 Elgin for S.watermain have been made to acquire a 20' wide right-of-way across the West side installation of Lot 89, Plan 45825 (2346 Elgin), owned by Indian Wells Development Ltd., to facilitate the Scuth watermain installation, in return for compensation in the amount of $2,000.06 and in addition, the City will be required to be responsible for legal and survey costs relating to the registration at the Land Registry Office of a Right-of-Way Plan and a Rignt-of-Way Agreement. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That as recommended in a memorandum from the City Engineer, April 18th, 1975, the standard Right~of-Way Agreement be entered into by the City with Indian Wells Development Ltd., in order to acquire a 20' wide right-of-way across the West side of the latter's property, being Lot 89, Plan 45825 (2346 Elgin), for the purpose of facilitating the installation of the South trunk watermain; AND THAT compensation be paid to Indian Wells Development in the amount of $2,000.00 and in addition, that the City be responsible for legal and survey costs relating to the registration at the Land Registry Office of a Right-of-Way Plan and a Right-of-Way Agreement.
