AMENDMENT

Notice is heraby given that the Bulkley-Cassiar Forest District Small
Business Forest Enterprise Program invites public review of a pro-
posed amendment to the 2000 lo 2006 Forest Development Plan
(FDP) showing its operations within the Bulkley-Cassiar Forest
District.
The proposed Forest Development.Plan amendment will show the
changes to the currently approved 2000-2006 Forest Development
Plan. The amendment consists of the addition of a 48 ha cutblock in
the Devil Creek area of the Cassiar to be harvested under a new
Forest License (A64561} held by the Tahltan Band and the iskut
Band, This block (A47484) Is currently shown on the approved 2000
to 2006 plan as an Information block. The Forest Development Pian
inctudes information on the maintenance and protection of other
resource values. in addition to the Forest Development Pian, slivi-
culture prescriptions will also be available for review to provide spe-
cific information far some of the activities. This amendment will
cover the following operating areas: Iskut.
All existing operational and approved higher-level plans that encom-
pass the plan area will be made available for viewing at this time.
The plan is available for review by the public, resource agencies
and First Nations before approval is considered by the Ministry of
Forests. .
The proposed FDP will be available for public review al the
Bulkley-Cassiar Forest District Office, 3333 Tatlow Road,
Smithers, B.C. from Novamber 13, 2002 to January 14, 2003 on
regular working days between tha hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30
p.m. Small Business Program slaff will be available to discuss the
proposed plans and receive comments. If any interested parties ara
unable ta review the proposed FDP during these times, arrange-
ments can be made to review the plan at a lime that is convenient
and mutually agreeable by contacting Paul Hatcher or Glan Buhr at
(250) 847-6300. The plan will also be available tor public view-
Ing at the Deasea Lake Fleld Office, Ministry of Forests, Stikine
and Commercial Road, Dease Lake, B.C., during regular office
hours.
In order for comments to be considered In the preparation of
the final plan, written comments must be recelved no later than
January 14, 2003, and should be addressed to the District
