On Tuesday, June 4, Kinsmen was up against Terrace & District Credit Union. The Credit Union had only won two games during the entire season, losing their last six straight . games. ce The first-place Kinsmen team wauld be hard to beat. Kinsmen started the game with an early lead and kept it all the way through seven innings as they defeated Terrace & District Credit Union 13-6. With the win, Kinsmen moved four points ahead of Spee-dee -Printers for top spot in the league. On Wednesday, Alf Sea- sons took on Spee-dee Prin- ters. All Seasons had defea- ted Spce-dee 13-12 in their previous match up May 24 and Spee-dee was looking to bounce back from that tough loss. All Seasons scored twa early runs and Spee-dee bounced back in the first, by getting five runs of their own, In the third, with the score 5-2 for Spee-dee, they added five more runs to make the score 10-2, §pee-dee's pitching shut All Seasons down in: the third-and fourth allowing no runs and posting lwo sirike- ~ Credit Union 11-8, outs. The game was out of reach for All Seasons, as» - Spee-dee went on to win, 13-4. ; With the victory, Spec- dee Printers ‘slays two points behind Kinsmen in the race for top spot. Spee- dee ‘and Kinsmen are set lo square-off again June 17, In the final: game of Week 6 Thursday night, a match-up of the league's two basement teams took place as All Seasons went up against Terrace & Dis- trict Credit Union. The game looked pro- mising for the Credit Union as they began the game with the lead.
