Bantams place third in nine team series rk The Terrace Inland Kenworth Bantams came through with a five-win, three-loss record at the B.C. Minor Hockey Tier Two, double ‘‘AA’’ Bantam championships during the Easter holi- day. That was good enough for a third place finish at this nine-team, round- robin series in Sidney on Vancouver Island. Two of the teams who beat Terrace in the round-robin placed first and second. Port Alber- ni, with a 5-4 win over Terrace went through unbeaten to take the championship. Fernie, with a 12-3 shellacking of the Terrace athletes in game two, took the run- nerup spot with only one loss. The youngsters open- ed with a tight 5-4 win over Beaver Valley, in which Mitch Shinde and Derrick Phillips each scored twice.
