Dear Sir:
Rez. Citadel Heights Phase 8

AS you are aware, Genstar is presently servicing the first
seetion of the area designated as the "Estates at Citadel
Heights". As part of the servicing program for this area, we are
proposing a number of community enhancement features to set it
apart from the balance of Citadel. For the most part, the
project enhancement features will consist of landscaping elements
contained within private property. However, two items which we
have discussed on a number of oecasions involve Municipal
Services,

The first is the instaliation of paving stones within the paved
roadway at the entrance, and as a substitute for the traditional
conerete sidewaik along Palisade Crescent. The seeond consists
of ornamental street lights in lieu of the standard City street
light poles and Juminaires. I understand that these items have
been the subject of ongoing discussions between the City and our
engineering consultants and suppliers since our initial
discussions in April and formal submission of engineering
drawings on May 17, 1988. Subsequent to receiving final approval
of our engineering drawings (with the exception of these two
outstanding items) and the award of our servicing contract for
this phase of our project, you advised that you were concerned
with the potential breakage and replacement costs associated with
the ornamental street light luminaires. Upon further discussion
you indicated that you may be prepared to recommend acceptance of
the lights provided some form of extended warranty were provided.
At our meeting of July 15, 1988 I indicated that it appeared we
were able to obtain this warranty from the manufacturer and would
therefore be in a position to pass this on to the City. Attachea
please find a copy of a letter from Inter Lite Sales Ine. which
indicates the warranty Lumee Ine. are prepared to offer Genstar
and which we are therefore prepared to offer the City.
