RECOMMENDATION:

That we establish a fee of $15.00 for the R.GoM.P. to do a criminal
Yecords check.

The R.C.M.P. conduct criminal record checks on behalf of numerous
agencies whose employees work with children, for example, Human
Resources and many of the private agencies with whom they place
children for various reasons. Most municipalities charge a $15.00

fee for each record check.

The recommendation,

if passed, would result in revenues of approximately
$2,500 per year. oo

The R.C.M.P. has a policy whereby record checks are free for persons
providing their own time and effort for the benefit of the community

(volunteer groups).
