RE: Off-site drainage requirements for the development of
CP _Rail's Coquitlam Yard, Port Coquitlam

Upon reviewing your letter of December 11, 1979 with our Lav
Department, CP Rail requests an additional letter from the City
of Port Coquitlam to verify the following conditions:

1. The off-site drainage requirements ontalis the development
of the entire Coquitlam Yard including the Howell Forwarding
Transfer Warehouse Facility.

The contribution in the amount of $80,000 for the off-site
drainage requirements will ba a one time only payment re-
gardless of future developments in Coquitlam Yard.

CP Ratl acknowledges responsibility for ite tnternal drainage,
however, the discharge from all existing and future drainage
works must be handled by the City's sewage system.

As an appropriation is now being processed for the required
Lands, your carly reply to this letter would be appreciated.
