SUBJECT: ART KNAPP CHRISTMAS TREE RECYCLING PROGRAM - CITY SUPPORT

RECOMMENDATION:

That Council approve $400 towards the support of the Tree Chipping Program sponsored by Art
Knapp on Dominion Ave. Funds to come from Recycling Promotional Reserve Account.

BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:

Attached is a letter from Andrew Quinn, Marketing Director for Art Knapp Plantland and
Florist, outlining the existing Christmas Tree Chipping Program. Mr. Quinn outlines the total
costs involved and clarifies that the City’s support of $400 will help to continue this program in
the Tri-Cities. (See third sheet, The City’s Cost)
