Re: R.C.M.P. Manpower

You will recall that Council vas raquested last week by our Administrator
to confirm that we will accept the addition of three men to the 1973~1974 Police

Contract.

Three additional men would bring our force to a total of 22 - a ratio

of approximately 1,000 population to 1 R.C.M.P. nan.

This ratio is the same as that adopted by the Coquitlam District who
have requested four additional men to bring their total to 55.

Il confirmed this with Mayor Tonn this week.

The Health and Welfare Committee are also considering the R.C.M.P.

situation and will possibly be submitting a further report on the subject.
